Vaccines are the best way to stay safe from Omicron.

Vaccines protect against serious illness and death. Even when breakthrough infections happen, people who have received boosters are least likely to be hospitalized.

Get vaccinated at a community health center or schedule an at-home vaccination.

N95 masks are much more effective than cloth masks at stopping Omicron.

Because the Omicron variant is more transmissible, using a N95 or KN95 mask will keep you better protected. These masks have filters which stop particles before you can breathe them in.

You can buy N95 and KN95 masks from Amazon, the Home Depot, Staples, or CVS.

Test before you see your friends and family.

Testing can help you reduce the chance you will spread COVID to a loved one. You should use a COVID test if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or if you have come into close contact with someone who has COVID. If you receive a positive COVID test, you should stay home and away from other people as much as possible for at least 5 days.

Find COVID tests at the following locations. You can also follow this facebook group that tracks when rapid tests are available at local pharmacies.

Individual households can order 1 free test kit with four tests from the Federal Government here: https://special.usps.com/testkits
